Has Anyone Ever Tried Google Earth?
http://earth.google.com/

I'm using the free version and it's great. Many more features for planning a trip. They allow you to add the location of services to the maps and even change the horizon view.

I wondered if the $20 upgrade is worth it. If anyone has that Google Earth Plus upgrade, please let me know what you think.

I would have posted this to the Lounge. But Lounge postings can be omitted from The Latest page and I'm hoping to get a response.

Btw, I tried going to Crawford, Texas but those maps are kind of blurry. I had very good luck by going to Waco and then traveling west. The pond near W's ranch is distinctive in shape and easy to find. The maps appeared sharper when zooming closer.

love it. Found Camp Casey and everything. Go to Beijing and look at the forbidden city. Cool. I would only get the upgrade if it gave the same kind of resolution all over the globe as it does with just the populated areas. Terra-firma used to have those pictures for free--even in rural areas. Now, you have to pay for it.

2. Thanks!
The web page doesn't give enough details to know if the upgrade is worth it. I'll contact them.

I'm looking forward to taking some tours with it! Thanks for the tip on TFC in Beijing.
