5. I know people like that |
|
People who really have little regard for an animal's life. I have heard stories about people like that from my friends etc. Living in MT where you get a lot of gun nuts and so on, you hear bad things sometimes. Most people are good, but you always get those sick fuckers who think it's funny to shoot a dog or something. This is just cruel though. Doing that to a cat is awful.

7. My cat was once shot by an arrow, years ago |
|
in Ohio. So there are loonies everywhere. Fortunately it just went into the skin on top of his head and wasn't too hard to remove.
The saddest part is that where I lived we had a leash law for cats, so the cat was on a leash in our back yard when he was shot. It was a decent neighborhood, but there were a couple really rotten kids there.

9. College students next door shot my cat for target practice. |
|
He lost a kidney and it cost me all my money to pay for surgery to save him. After I had them evicted, they came back and broke the windows and mirrors on all the cars near our house (including mine). They were very very wealthy Tulane students, so NOTHING else happened to them. Another group of wealthy Tulane students totaled my mom's parked car because they were piss drunk. We complained, the police came, the driver (daughter of a U.S. Senator), was let off scott free, and my mother lost her drivers license (took over a year to fix it) - she was in bed asleep. A third group of students ran into my car, left the scene, the police came, the parents came, the police later lost the records at the 2nd district precinct - my car remains damaged... I could go on.

This is why I can't be a liberal (i'm an independent) -- I don't have what it takes to be non violent.
Just the thought of a bunch of punks doing something like that to my dog ..

10. Some damn 12 year old brat. |
|
Find him and shoot an arrow into him.
(when I was 12, a neighbor kid squirted me in the eye with oil from a high powered gun just for kicks... the aftermath wasn't pleasant. My only consolation is that, a couple years later, the fucker's parents were evicted by a goverment foreclosure. Still, the brat was only human...)

I just read a very similar story in the newspaper from my small hometown, Giddings, Texas. I thought that's what this story was going to be about. They don't have an online version, so I can't post a link, but they got the arrow out and they think the kitten is going to be OK. They also thought it was a kid doing target practice.

cats are allowed to run loose. (My cats have always been indoor cats, except when I lived with my mom growing up. In my suburban home town, everyone I know who had a cat had an outdoor cat.) People might not like it, but to shoot a cat (who is obviously a pet) is wrong.
(My current cat is indoor only, for this very reason.) But, for shooting an arrow through a cat, you can only blame the shooter of the arrow. It's cruel. It's rotten. It's terrible.

for their safety. My animals stay in my house or in a fence for the same reason. I'm currently baby sitting a kitten because its mother was allowed to roam free.

I just recently lost my cat last week and I hope to God that nothing like that would ever happen to her. People like that need a life and counseling.
