10. No she isn't though
is said to have stumbled over her words at a D.C. event by quoting something * said by saying, "my husband, I mean, the pResident said. . ."

I've never known any woman who has never been married refer to her husband, even by accident.

This gaffe goes into the catagory of "things that make you go hmmmmm."

23. Exactly. People who have never been married don't make that accident
And even married people are more inclined to screw up first names rather than titles. I love my husband dearly, but I don't go around calling him "my husband". I call him by his name.

When Rice said that, my first reaction was that she did it on purpose. Either she was pissed off at him or she wanted Laura to find out.

Nevertheless, she was widely reported to have accidentally referred to President Bush as her "husband" at a Washington dinner party, before quickly correcting herself. <21>

14. I don't think she is admitting it...
What Rice reportedly said was this: "As I was telling my husb—" before abruptly breaking off and correcting herself: "As I was telling President Bush." Jaws dropped, we're told. And though nobody thinks Bush and Rice are "actually an item," we were nevertheless reminded that the unmarried Condi does regularly spend weekends with the president and first lady.

25. frankly I think it was mean to shore up his "manhood"
She has definitely referred to the boy king as her "husband" at least twice. I think the "slip" was done to (1) make him seem less the blue blood country club pig that he is and (2) to make him seem virile (in Karl Rove's sick, twisted imagination).

I refuse to believe anyone or anything has ever had sex with the shrub. The twins were artificial insemination. I'll allow no other possibility to enter my skull. (shudder)

personally I wonder about the paternal twin thing myself...but it is all just in good fun, I try not to dwell on the thoughts of their sex lives for too long....:scared:

I once brought up, at a break where I used to work, the mental image of Ron and Nancy Reagan engaging in sexual dalliance....2 hours later, at Lunch, I was still getting nasty comments from my co-workers who had dealt with that mental image since the situation was initiated....

41. Reptiles don't marry. They copulate and then the female lays eggs.
Often, the female eats her own eggs. Could be why Condi has no baby reptiles.

26. not according to this article
Rice rarely reveals anything about her personal life. She is reportedly a good ice skater and a knowledgeable football fan, and she dated the Denver Broncos' Rick Upchurch while she was attending the University of Denver. Nothing is known of Rice's romantic life since then, except that she has never been married.

32. Actually --- yesterday I saw this Q. on Google Answers
The question was:

I have heard that Condoleeza Rice was divorced. Can you find the name
of her ex-husband? Thanks!

Very interesting comments!

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=531229

snip--
Condoleezza Rice was a doctoral student in the mid 1970's at the U. of
Denver and had dated several players with the Denver Broncos. She
became engaged to one player, wedding plans were made, then she
abruptly canceled them. She keeps her personal life extremely private.
But at her confirmation hearings with the Senate Foreign Relations
committee, a young, well dressed, very fit black woman sat behind her.
Not part of any security detail.

snip--
Condoleezza Rice, probably a polymath, did her undergraduate and
doctoral studies in political science at the U. of Denver, with an MA
at Notre Dame. She was a protegee of Madeleine Albright's father,
chair of the dept. at U. of Denver. She is an accomplished pianist,
fluent in several languages including Russian. The stories about
dating NFL players and her more recent displays of fashion are a
carefully crafted beard. She is not, shall we say, the marrying type.

43. So what if she is gay!
This discussion reminds me of the abuse hurled at Maggie Thatcher when she was British PM.

"She's not a real woman! A real woman would never do what she's done!"

Nauseating, sexist homophobic crap!

There are plenty of genuine reasons to attack this Bush acolyte. Why not use them instead of sinking into freeper ville.
