Ron Klain (Clark Manager) on X'Fire....Sliming and Slick...Showed Clark's
tape where he is mentioning how good it is that we have Rummy, Condi, Cheney and Bush in the White House now.

Novak says what happened to Clark...or some such statement and Klain says "Bob, we've had worse candidates."

So, Ron Klain is making fun of our former Democratic Candidates? This guy is an arrogant slime.....I don't like anything about him.......he exudes smarm.....sorry ......who has he worked for before?

BTW: Carville and Novak seem to be doing a Novak trial.....where the prosecutor (Carville) and Defendant (Novak) are hashing out whether Novak should swing from the yardarms!

What a terrible show. And who is that former Congressperson who sounds like a RW'er on with Klain? BLECH!

2. dwickham, our Dems shouldn't be out there trashing other Dem's who have
run! To do that in public is like airing our dirty laundry in front of the Repugs. Here, in private we can trash them as much as we want.....but our Dem Spokespeople should NOT be doing this.

Do you ever hear a Repug on any of these shows trash Bob Dole? Nixon? Quayle? the rest? NO.....you don't!

And no Dem should be making smirky remarks about any of our fine folks who have run as Candidate in the past. We need to stick together or we hang alone where the Repugs can pick us off!

4. ....
From what I recall he said something to the effect of "If the general being a bit too generous to President Bush is the worst thing you can come up with, I think I can say we've had worse candidates."

We'll have to wait on the transcript to be sure....

3. He repeated that Bush campaigned as a "compassionate conservative"

and has been anything but. This, as others have pointed out here, is a horrible excuse; it shows that a compassionate conservative (the ultimate oxymoron) would have been just hunky-dory with him.

It's not okay with me.

Would it have been okay with you?

As for his past, he's one of the wizards--along with Mark Fabiani, the one who upstaged Edwards--responsible for the dreadfully-run Gore campaign.

8. Klain worked for Al Gore in the 2000 race. I watched a lot of tv
then and was always hoping for the best out of all those Gore workers..but I remember Klain didn't deliver too well.
