Stop, hey what's that sound?
There is somethin' happening here
and what it is, aint exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
tellin' me, I've got to beware

I think it's time we
Stop,
Children,
What's that sound?
everbody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
and nobody's right, if everybody's wrong
young people speaking their minds
and getting so much resistence,
from behind

I think it's time we
stop,
Hey,
what's that sound?
everybody look whats going down

What a field day for the heat

A thousand people in the street

singin' songs, and a carrying signs

mostly say, hooray for our side

I think it's time we
Stop,
Hey,
What's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life,
it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line,
the man come and take you away

We better stop,
hey
what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

Stop,
hey,
what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

Stop,
now,
what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

Stop,
children,
what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down

1. For What It's Worth...always liked that song!
Very a propos to what's going on now, just as in the 60s.

8. We heard that song on the radio on the way home from the Peace vigil!
And, of course, we cranked it up! Even my kids joined in and sang. Teach your children well.

13. Na Duuuu!!!!
Good to see ya! :loveya:

What we need now is a DOUBLE SECTION of Conn 8Ds, 2 assists, Julie Landsmann at the helm, making sure it's tight and Cindy Sheehan out front reading the manifesto!!! Buffalo Springfield is too subtle and Misterioso for our current plight. We need Janacek (Sinfonietta)!!! BLOW THE HORNS FROM THE BALCONIES on this LUNACY!!! :silly:

12. Paranoid
Finished with George Bush ’cause he couldn’t help our country.
People think he's insane because he is waring all the time.
All day long Rove thinks of things but nothing seems to satisfy
Think I’ll lose my child if I don’t find something to pacify
Can you help him, occupy his ranch?
Oh yeah!
He needs someone to show him the Peace in life that he can’t find
He can’t see the things that make true honesty,'cause he is blind
Make a war and you will cry and he will laugh as your kids die
Happiness he cannot feel and love to him is so unreal
And so as you hear these words telling you now of their fate
He must go on with life our troops wish they could but it’s too late

15. The Candyskins did a kickass cover of this in the late 90s
It is so contemporary sounding, and the guitar solo sears the soul.

Check it out.

Kudos to Buffalo Springfield and the Candyskins
