David Ensor on CNN: Again, she was a covert officer
he was told: "If she were only an analyst, not an operative, we would not have filed a crimes report with the Justice Department"

CIA won't comment on the Damage Assesment

"also have to remember this is political season"

Wolf: If this were the CLinton Admin, wouldn't the Republicans be saying the same thing? JAnet Reno can't be trusted on this?

"I don't think so"

2. wow
This is like the scene in Lord of the Rings when they're trapped in the mines of Moria and the hobbit knocks the sekeleton into the well and wakes the orks.

you just hear

"dum......dum...........dum....dum....dum..."

In a warped sort of way, that's what it's like for Bush, he can hear the drums beating, knowing political doom is on the way, and there's nothing he can do about it.

:)

from Ensor! And what a weasel Shelby is!! Would not answer directly the question about if this was Clinton Admin. and Janet Reno was Atty. Gen. Hypocrite Shelby!

8. Ensor also said:
Plame spent much of her career in field offices overseas.

He indicated that his sources would provide no detail on what harm
was done to national security, which made it seem that damage was indeed done.

ABC World News Tonight yesterday quoted intelligence sources as saying
that national security was damaged as a result of Traitorgate.

Kind of destroys repuke spin that she was only an analyst, or the
reprehensible 'no harm no foul' defense.

11. Yes,
Ensor reported the story with all the gravity and importance that it deserves. This is VERY serious, and scary, and we can only hope that the only consequences are politcal ones for the administration, and that the guilty get justice.

4. Saw that, still trying to pick jaw up off the floor
Novak looks like a complete moron now. He was acting like she wasn't an operative on Crossfire. 5 minutes after he goes off the air, CNN makes a point of reporting that she WAS an operative who travelled abroad and collected information.

5. FAUX just reported the same thing.
That idiot John Gibson was saying she was an analyst and their White House guy said she was a "senior undercover supervisor."

9. "Senior Undercover Supervisor" from Faux no less???
That's a big honking title that points to a large and longterm network of covert operatives beneath her, and all of their contacts being outed in Rove's massive game of abuse of power.

I'm speechless. I'll bet there was some serious damage done by exposing her.

I have watched him the last two days on CNN and he seems like a REAL journalist! He is serious, concerned and takes the whore-news spin and turns it back at them for what it is..... DRECK!

13. He has been very emphatic about Plame being covert
All the Bush butts at CNN keep bringing up the argument that Plame was just an analyst. Obviously, they're trying to justify their way out of believing that their hero harbors traitors. This happened this morning too. But Ensor keeps stating in no uncertain terms that indeed someone in the WH committed a serious crime, for which they could go to jail for up to ten years. Ensor's a real Sergeant Friday.

10. When will CNN send this disgusting prick packing?
He's on crossfire smugly telling people she's an "analyst" or a CIA "employee", so Ensor has to keep repeating the truth day after day. What the hell is wrong with the people at CNN.
