Folks are writing songs for Cindy all over. Post yours here please!

Here's a few I found:

to the tune of "Deep in the Heart of Texas"

For his "hard work", George gets a perk
Its five weeks off in Texas!
He'll smirk and gloat, read "My Pet Goat"
At his fake ranch in Texas!
She's cool and calm, she's Casey mom
She came to chat in Texas!
His pants are wet, `cause she's a "threat"
Just standing there in Texas...

The folks he'll see, pledge loyalty
And that's not just in Texas!
She wants a word, you chicken turd
So come outside, in Texas!
You commit crimes, but she'll do time
For bugging you in Texas!
It's time you see, it's our country
We will not let you wreck us...
<SNIP>

There is a skunk, who's prob'ly drunk
Hiding his ass in Texas.
He's clearing brush, being a lush,
Drinking a fifth, in Texas
<SNIP>

to the tune of "The Yellow Rose Of Texas"

Oh the yellow stripe in Texas
Is 'bout half mile wide
It runs down Dubya's middle
'Cause Cindy lurks outside
You can talk about your chickenhawks
And sing of war sublime
But the yellow stripe of Texas
Runs where others have a spine.

and another....

oh the yellow man in Teaxas
has trousers full of pee.
his poll numbers are tanking
so Cindy he won't see
He'll send the texas rangers out
and maybe she will leave.
just like the way old Dubya did
when absent without leave..

I am Woman (Hellen Reddy).

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

CHORUS
Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

CHORUS

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong

FADE
I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman

3. I did download David Rovics song...(free download)
about Cindy and Casey. Kicked and Recommended this thread.

Burned it to a CD--one song, played over and over again in the car on the ride home from work.

6. From DU's DX STone : (Won’t You Please Come Out To) Crawford
(Won’t You Please Come Out To) Crawford
(to the tune of Chicago by Graham Nash - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young)

Now our mother's bound and gagged
And they've left her in a ditch
Won't you please come out to Crawford, come and shout
In a land that's known as Freedom
How can life be such a bitch?
Won't you please come out to Crawford--that’s what freedom is about!
We can change the world
Rearrange the world
It's dying
It's dying - to get better

Politicians, wake the fuck up
And join the human race
Won't you please speak out for Cindy--show some spine
Don't ask George to help you
'Cause he'll turn the other face
Won't you please come out to Crawford--no one else can speak your mind

We can change the world
Rearrange the world
It's dying - if you believe in justice
It's dying - and if you believe in freedom
It's dying - let EVERYONE live their own life
It's dying - wars and endless fences, who needs ‘em?
Open up the door

Somehow we must all break free
From these neo-nazi geeks
Won't you please come out to Crawford, find a ride
Drop everything you’re doing
Come and stay a couple weeks
Won't you please come out to Crawford, or else join the other side!

We can save--yes, we can save our own lives
While the neocons share and shave their wives
We’re dying-if you don’t think so, good luck
We’re dying-what in the bloody freakin' fuck?
We’re dying-let The Man know you’re out there
We’re dying-Who’s in charge? Who’s leading this nation?
Show these fucks the door!!!

Prairie Chapel Road By Eric Folkerth

The grieving mother pitched her tent, On Prairie Chapel Road…

With questions for the President On Prairie Chapel Road…

A host of pilgrims came along To Prairie Chapel Road…

Raised their voices, sang their songs On Prairie Chapel Road…

(chorus) You can mow down the crosses, but you can’t mow down our hope, `Cause the truth will always greet The light of day. And we know what the cost is, In this darkness, where we grope, But we know that peace Will be the better way… On Prairie Chapel Road…

Around the nation, all eyes turned To Prairie Chapel Road…

To mark the lessons we had learned On Prairie Chapel Road…

People who had found their voice On Prairie Chapel Road…

Millions more who joined their choice On Prairie Chapel Road…

(chorus)

In every city, and small town, There’s a Prairie Chapel Road

Where two sides of the road are found, On Prairie Chapel Road…

And we may always disagree On Prairie Chapel Road…

But the right to do keeps us free On Prairie Chapel Road…

(chorus)

The grieving mother pitched her tent, On Prairie Chapel Road…

With questions for the President On Prairie Chapel Road…

"Magnetic Ribbons"

Some wave the flag around and wear it on their sleeve
Never question anything and always believe what’s been said
Call me a skeptic but it doesn’t seem right
To send our loved ones over there to fight for lies we’ve been fed

“We’re fighting for our freedom” that one just don’t hold true
The people we invaded weren’t a threat to either me or you
A liberating force is what we’re told we’re supposed to be
But the people over there never asked for any help from you or me

(Chorus):
Magnetic Ribbons on your SUV,
don’t mean you’re more patriotic than me
It’s fair to question, who we have in charge.
How many more will have to die for his cause,
He claims it’s noble but it gives me pause,
I really wonder which one’s the terrorist at large

He vowed to catch them when those towers came down,
Now 4 years later and they’re still not found
He changed directions, and left the bad guys at large

What kind of lie is more harmful to you?
The kind about A soldier’s life or a stained dress that was blue?
How many more will have to die Before you ask yourself, Did I trust the wrong man?

Magnetic Ribbons on your SUV,
don’t mean you’re more patriotic than me
It’s fair to question, who we have in charge.
How many more will have to die for his cause,
He claims it’s noble but it gives me pause,
I really wonder which one’s the terrorist at large

Pay close attention and open your eyes
Before he lets another patriot die for his lies
Why call it freedom when you have to invade
It’s not liberation, if they don’t ask for our aid, now we’ve paid…….in blood (but he don’t care,….)

Goldstar Mama come to see him face to face….
Secret service won’t let her near his place
Say she’s a threat, to his security
Her son was Marine, who put his life on the line
Compassionate conservative ain’t got enough time to show he cared (or is he scared?)

“Have you forgotten?” How dare you say that to me?
Don’t try to trivialize, or patronize me.
Osama’s still around last time I checked the lost n found
Let’s fight the real enemy who struck us on our ground..

9. This one isn't mine....it's 25 years old....but read carefully!
I can't believe the news today....
Oh I can't close my eyes and make it go away....
How long, how long must we sing this song?
How long? How lo-oong?

'Cause tonight, we can be as one tonight...

Broken bottles under children's feet...
Bodies strewn across a dead-end street...
But I won't heed the battle call -
It puts my back up, puts my back up against the wall -

Sunday, Bloody Sunday -
Sunday, Bloody Sunday -
Sunday, Bloody Sunday -

And the battle's just begun -
There's many lost, but tell me, who has won?
The trenches dug within our hearts,
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart -

Sunday, Bloody Sunday -
Sunday, Bloody Sunday -

How long? How long must we sing this song?
How long? How lo-oong?

'Cause tonight, we can be as one - tonight...
Tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight...

Wipe the tears from your eyes,
Wipe your tears away,
Wipe your tears away,
Wipe your bloodshot eyes...

Sunday, Bloody Sunday -
Sunday, Bloody Sunday -

And it's true we are immune,
When fact is fiction and TV reality -
And today the millions cry:
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die,
And we haven't yet begun
To claim the victory Jesus won
On Sunday, Bloody Sunday -
Sunday, Bloody Sunday...

(U2, from the "War" album, 1981)

Says an awful lot... think they were familiar with insurgencies and occupying armies?

PsA

10. Here's MoPaul's: I dreamed I saw Casey Sheehan last night,
I dreamed I saw Casey Sheehan last night,
alive as you and me.
Says I "But Casey, you're one year dead"
"I never died" said he,
"I never died" said he.

"The Oil bosses killed you Casey,
they lied to you" says I.
"Takes more than guns to kill a man"
Says Casey "I didn't die"
Says Casey "I didn't die"

And standing there as big as life
so young & proud and wise,
Says Casey "They can never hide
a mother's weeping eyes,
a mother's weeping eyes.

in every town and city,
From San Diego up to Maine,
you'll hear a grieving mother cry,
Let no more die in vain,
Let no more die in vain.

I dreamed I saw Casey Sheehan last night,
alive as you and me.
Says I "But Casey, you're one year dead"
"I never died" said he,
"I never died" said he.

11. Here's mine: "Casey's Mom" (to be sung to the tune of "Casey Jones")
"Casey's Mom" (to be sung to the tune of "Casey Jones")

Casey's mom she had a mission clear;
Casey's mom refused to live in fear.
"All I need is to see my president,"
So she followed him to Texas on vacation where he went.

Casey's mom she camped out in the road;
Casey's mom she wouldn't go away,
But Mr. Bush, he wouldn't come outside.
He was hiding out in Texas on vacation where he went.

Cindy Sheehan when she heard the news,
Sitting on her bedside, she was lacing up her shoes.
Though her friends all told her don't you hold your breath
She said "I'm gonna ask the president what caused my brave son's death."

Casey's mom she had a mission clear;
Casey's mom refused to live in fear.
"All I need is to see my president,"
So she followed him to Texas on vacation where he went.

Cindy Sheehan in the Texas sun,
Asking Bush to explain what he had done.
Get your hat, put it on your head.
Go down and tell his mother why her brave boy is dead.

Casey's mom said before she died,
Two more roads that I want to ride.
People said, what roads can they be?
The one that goes to Crawford and the one to DC.
