Michael Scheuer, ex CIA hardliner, on 60 Minutes now
talking about how he got removed from position as hardline antiBinLadenite right after 911

he blames Clinton for not bombing the sh*t out of Afghanistan, even when the Arab princes were visting OBL

that kind of insistence got him taken off his duty

he avers now that we really screwed up by not keeping up the hunt for OBL, and is adamant at what a disaster the Iraq invasion was

says AlQaeda is now a global insurgency; MUCH worse than it was then

1. says nobody should be surprised if some sort of radiological device
is set off here

Question: why do you think it's such a sure thing?

Answer: because he TOLD us he'd do it!

6. vlcm....Scheuer is always entertaining
they DIDN'T discuss his oft stated opinion of what a total disaster the Iraq war has been

I have a tape running, so maybe he said it at the beginning, which I missed

it wouldn't surprise me if Steve Krofft (the puppet) didn't broach the subject

WHEN ARE THEY going to broadcast the Sibel Edmonds segment they dumped to show day after day after day of Reagasm?

3. going after Richard Clarke, who called him middle manager, and
"uninformed"

Scheuer blames Clarke, Tenet, and one other guy for intel failures

he "wears Clarke's criticism as a badge of honor"

8. NO! I hope my post didn't make you think that. He holds him in
utter contempt

he said he was an upper level guy who just barged in, not knowing what was going on, and made things worse with his interference

interesting, seeing as how that's the way Clarke saw himself, vis a vis his superiors, both in the WJC and Bush Whitehouses.

he DID admit in his own book, though, that he should have pressed harder to go after OBL during WJC, as did Scheuer, but I guess Scheuer did it to the point that they thought he was "obsessed," according to one of Krofft's questions

I actually turned on to see to the section on the people from the Nicobar islands.

<edit> add - It wasn't the people from Nicobar. It's about the Sea Gypsies: The Moken people, who survived the Tsunami. Really interesting. No baggage - I can deal with that.

haven't you gotten the word from on high?

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,

10. but what about bush!
even given all the obl/al ciada stuff, what about the coup of 2000? bush is not the people's choice (and seriously, how could a draft dodging yalie who pretends he's a texican and was involved in so much character defining stuff which would kabosh a liberal's career right off, ever get elected unless the electorate was conned both pre and post election?) all these concerned citizens who try to raise the alarm (and what do they want done? bomb afghanistan to bits? or what?) insist on overlooking the biggest criminals on earth? why? are they chickenshit? maybe this guy should hang with cindy sheehan for awhile!
this is typical psych op mepublican aka gopig bushit....
the 'terrorists are outlaws, nothing more...anyone who plots to injure or kill the innocent using bombs and chems and nukes are outlaws, anyone
