Question for the DLC
Why do you assume you represent the interests and control party loyalty of all moderate Dems?

Has it ever occurred to you that moderate Dems like myself don't affiliate themselves with your group because its too far right?

2. I consider myself to be a moderate Dem, but to some here I'm a
"far left fringe lunatic". Few seem willing to acknowledge that the center has moved very far to the right. My spouse who is a Dem, but works with repukes and picks up some of their talking points on occasion, despises the DLC. Go figure.

3. When the DLC says moderate the mean in the whole US
not moderate in our party. They know they are to the right of the party and they are proud of it.

They are stuck in time, they pay no heed to the polarity of the country and believe that as populist they can appeal to a mysterious mass of Americans "in the middle."

I'm about convinced not to worry about them. They are promoting more military in Iraq, and more globalization. It looks like neither of those positions is going to be teneble by 2008. Those positions may not even be tenable by next summer.

4. Ditto here
I consider myself very moderate -to the point that I would even vote Repub if my gut told me that the Repub candidate was more honest/noble than the Dem candidate -and I am bothered by what the DLC represents and the way it brews anger and division within the party.

I am especially pissed at the way it attacks Howard Dean, who, to me, is the quintesential kick ass moderate and potentially this party's savior.

5. I used to consider myself a moderate Democrat

But I feel the Democrat party has moved towards the right, because the DLC's influence of the party, and now I seem to identify more with the Howard Deans of the party, who are considered the left fraction of the party by the DLC.
