I have stopped watching the MSM because of the sensationalism and faux (false) news. A recent visit to crooksandliars.com helped me take a second take on this view.

I watched a video clip of your discussion of the BTK Killer on CNN with Wolf Blitzer and how this did not deserve the media attention it got. After listening to all you had said I was left speechless.

I cannot even begin to express how impressed I was with you. When I had lost all respect in the abyss of today’s media outlets you shone a light for EVERYONE in the MSM and showed the way. I hope others will follow your more than admirable example of real journalistic integrity, something that has been lost for a long time now.

Your comments deserve praise and news outlets like CNN need more people like you. I hope CNN realizes the valuable asset it has in Jack Cafferty.

My hope is that CNN and other media outlets will now start to report real news rather that the sensationalism of the BTK Killer, the girl in Aruba and so on. These are stories worth mentioning and talking about but not worth my time (or the time of any of your viewers) hour after hour, day after day (this was also done with Michael Jackson and O.J. Simpson). There are other much more serious problems that are not being talked about that deserve much more coverage.

As of late I have seen little to no investigative reporting from anyone. All I have seen is the reciting of the mantra. I truly hope your comments are a start of better things to come and not the “last throes” of integrity.

3. CNN is going for ratings

with pretty solid opposition to the war in this country now--which means that a whole lot of people have finally faced the facts--CNN can rake in the bucks helping the audience ease their conscience about supporting the war in the first place by explaining how the administration tricked them. Never mind that the same evidence has been sitting around since before the war.
