CNN "Dead Wrong" was pretty good. What was missed?
It seems that most think the piece CNN did was generally liked. There were some things that were missed though that could have been covered a bit better.

Without busting out the tinfoil hats, what did you notice that was either missed or could have been covered better?

1. It had time constraints. It easily could have been
2 hours but was compressed into 1. A follow up show would be warranted.

2. Definitely. Should have been longer. They played it tight.
The way it showed the claims by the Bush administration on the lead up to the war was good.

4. The one thing that I thought they could have covered
Was the Pentagon having their own intelligence set up. If they covered it, then I missed it and I apologize in advance. It was a lot to take in and hopefully I'll be able to watch the rerun later.

13. PNAC- indeed.
Its only the signed, sealed, delivered playbook that its authors and signatories are using. Their intentional omission is maddening.

7. Anodized coating of aluminium tubes was not mentioned.
The coating had to be milled off to be used besides being the wrong size.

10. AND thickness AND alloy
A bunch of DOE nuclear physicists were sitting around talking at the time and they were deriding the so-called "evidence" of the tubes.

I remember the quote (paraphrasing), "They had a bunch of us world-class experts on gas separators here and they didn't bother to ask us about it. All they had was one guy at the CIA making all these claims."

9. It's pathetic ...
CNN has been breaking, ever so slightly, back toward being a new outlet, and regaining some of its journalistic integrity ... But, it still is like they are scared of this admin/still breaking free from the hypnosis ...

The piece itself was REAL solid, they just let the facts tell the story - that this admin fixed the intelligence to support their agenda of a military takeover of Iraq ...

But, what was the title, an "Intelligence Meltdown ..." That isn't the story that was told, but it just seems to be a way for them to "sneak" the REAL story in without calling it what it really was, "the Bushco's lying to force the country into a military takeover of Iraq ..."

THIS is where this country is today, you have to give credit to the major cable news network for having one of two nads ...

11. Phony yellowcake was glossed over. No mention of 16 words (lies).
No mention of the bullshit Atta-Prague nonsense that Cheney STILL pushes, despite report after report to contrary. No mention of the many, repeated, and repeated 45 min. away from mushroom clouds.

...and unmanned aireal vehicles, another total bullshit claim worse than those fictitious bio-truck labs.

12. I got the feel they were setting Tenet up to take the rest of the fall
for Administration. Also, they did mention that the intel used in the end was from the Iraqi Group, but failed to mention who was in that group, such as Karen Hughes and Mary Matlin, no experience in intel, just PR...And the DSM's were mentioned once, without saying there were suitcases full of other leaked memos, and left with ** saying that he was trying to resolve the situation peacefully..

14.  The lack of depth into the lies, in number and description,
Left me wanting. They had a chance and, they did well, but they could have brought up much more. For example, what about the August 6th, 2001 PDB...........? It wasn't just that they blew off intelligence to go to war, they blew it off to prevent it!

17. Karen Kwiatkowski......

They should have interviewed Karen, she worked for Rumsfeld.

Read this:

In Rumsfeld's Shop

http://www.militaryweek.com/kwiatkowski.shtml

Karen Kwiatkowski recently retired from the active duty USAF as a Lieutenant Colonel. Her final assignment was as a political-military affairs officer in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Under Secretary for Policy, in the Sub-Saharan Africa and Near East South Asia (NESA) Policy directorates.

During Col. Kwiatkowski's time at NESA, she worked the North Africa desk, in the sister office to the Office of Special Plans.
