Best US Senator (Group 3 of 10)

Senators' names were randomized using a random number generator. Only two rules were used for the placement of names:

1. Each group of 10 must contain either five or six Republicans and four or five Democrats. Independent Jim Jeffords is counted as a Democrat.
2. No two senators from the same state may be listed in a group together.

If there is positive response to these polls, I will create two "runoff" polls from them sometime this week. In the "runoff" polls, the top two votegetters from each of these ten polls will compete in groups of ten.

3. IMHO since Jeffords and Sarbanes

are the only two on this list that voted against IWR they are the only ones worth voting for. Unfortunately they are both not seeking re-election. Obama was not in the Senate at the time of the vote but my feeling - and I could be toatlly wrong about this - is that he would have voted in favor....or maybe he would have taken the lead of his Senior Senator Durbin and voted NO - who knows

4. How can Hatch be the best senator in this group?

Surprising how there is at least one Republican vote in each poll and Hagel (a conservative Rep) gets several votes.
