When we win, what will we have really won?
Bush's poll numbers are plummeting, war protests are growing in size and number, and even Republican legislators are admitting mistakes and seeking an exit strategy.

We were right all along. No WMDs, just a power-grab for oil, a boondoggle for well-connected corporations, and a ploy to keep a terrified public in line.

How many lives have been sacrificed and irreparably harmed? How many billions of dollars wasted? How much hatred has been sewn worldwide?

Yes, the tide is turning and people are joining our side. But where is the victory? There is no satisfaction in being right.

What have we accomplished? We turned a secular government, albeit a draconian dictatorship, where women were able to walk freely and turned it into an oppressive theocracy. This was the "noble cause" worth dying over? Does anyone believe this will make the U.S. safer?

A hollow victory, indeed.

1. When we win we should consider
as bankrupt as we are, about war reparations to Iraqn and openign many of our intel files. We need to attone for our sins and we need to face what has been done in our name

5. So we get poverty, unequal rights, no jobs, and massive debt
YAY!

I agree with the original poster...just getting these guys out isn't enough...we need real change in America. We need to treat people humanely, something that wasn't happening even before PNAC took over...we need to pay people living wages, keep jobs in America, give everyone the same rights and start investing in ourselves and not weapons.

I have little hope of this since most Democratic candidates don't even agree with what I just said. PNAC is evil but they aren't the only ones.

Howard Dean slogans aren't going to make things better.

7. If you don't like Dems
does that mean you are a Green? Who do you vote for?

8. Not that it's any of your business
I've voted for:

2004 GE: Kerry
2004 Primary: Kucinich
2002 Senator: Mondale
2002 Governor: Ken Pentel(Green Party)

I'll most likely be voting for the Green Party candidate for Governor in 2006, and most likely the Democratic candidate for Senator. I currently support the Green Party candidate for Mayor of St. Paul, Elizabeth Dickinson.

If you have a problem with how I voted...I truly don't give a fuck.

6. I'm not even sure
what normalcy looks like anymore. It feels like we've been trapped in this "Twilight Zone" episode forever now.

9. If 2+2=5, it's worth it.
If the sole point is to maintain power, it is worth it. Otherwise, no.
