Doesn't Chuck Hagel want to run for president? |
|
I know many here are thanking Hagel for speaking out against Bush and now joining the ranks of the opposition in regards to Iraq.
However, keep in mind that this man wants to run for president in 2008. He is likely sticking his finger in the wind and notices that he must distance himself from Bush if he has any chance of getting elected, since Mr. 36% won't have much in the way of coattails.
Keep in mind, also, that Hagel owns ES&S, a voting machine manufacturer. Voters using his ES&S machines surprisingly elected him Senator in the first place (he even carried predominately minority and Democratic counties).
I think we need to keep an eye on Hagel - it's a pretty safe bet that if the voting machines truly are being rigged, than Hagel will win the nomination and the general election.
Maybe those among us who believe election fraud is real (and I do, although I didn't used to) should concentrate on stopping this chain of events from happening?
It's THREE YEARS AWAY - and it's staring us right in the face. We have three years to come up with a solution to the vote rigging and stop Hagel.
Does this make sense to anyone else?

1. Hagel has been critical for a while |
|
He's pretty true on that one. He's a Vietnam vet and he's not stupid, plus he's one of the few actual genuine foreign policy experts in the Senate. He's been right on issues such as Iran for example. He even put forth a lot of the ideas that McCain and Kennedy used in their guest worker bill. So, some of it is political, of course, but Hagel has been consistent about criticizing Bush even when he was much more popular. I think he just truly believes in that stuff.
However, the voting machine thing is serious. I think Chuck knows something that we don't know. He might be rigging the game on that one. I don't know if we need to stop just Hagel in particular, we need to stop the whole system. But you are right. This is serious cause for concern.

The EVM thing is something I always think of when I hear his name. He could cure cancer and I'd still dismiss him.

3. Hagel would be a better president than.. |
|
Frist, Hatch, Jeb, Allen, Cheney...plus I don't think the neocons have him in their pocket. If the Dems put up Hilary I think we are really looking at 4 more years of a Republican president.

5. Ummmm. we have WASTED nearly 6 years..what's 3 more? |
|
Yes that's the same Hagel who "miraculously" won his senate seat, with votes counted on his own voting machines :puke:.. the same hagel who occasionaly wanders off the reservation and challenges his fellow party-pals..
The 'redder' that congress gets, the less likely that any real election changes will be put into effect. Whoever they are, once in congress, they love the mechanisms that put them there, and are afraid to change things..

6. Let's make Hagel Plan B.... |
|
I agree the fraud is real and BlackBoxvoting box has some great stuff on Hagel. Plus (I believe) ESS is partial owned Omaha World Herald (Nebraska's biggest paper) so don't expect anything investigative from them. All Nebraskans are getting a good dose of kool-aide every day.
The family that owns the weird Herald are big time theocrats. I think it's from that base of strength that Hagel speaks. Theo vs Neo. And Hagel knows where the bodies are buried.
But, look at it this way. The election fraud isn't being addressed quickly enough to fix things before 2008. If we have to have another EVM (electronic voting machine) Republican president.... then I think we want it to be Hagel.
