and, even he was verbally rolling his eyes at that... edited to add, meaning that he thinks Robertson was way out of line.

10. Memo to Freeper : "Duh, Ya think"?
Oh, ok. NOW they're starting to think Robertson is a hatemongering nutcase? I mean, after Pat baby and his fellow hatemonger Falwell were publically saying that gay people, the ACLU, feminists and pro-choice people were the cause of 09/11? Just a few fucking days after that horrible event? And after all of the other insane comments Robertson has uttered since then...NOW they think Robertson is out of line?

Jesus. How fucking stupid are these people, anyway? One is constantly amazed at how slow, how fucking ignorant, these freepers are.

17. probably because the premise of his call - disses bushwarco
in essence - he is suggesting the whole Iraq war could and should have been avoided via assassination. his words:

"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator," he continued. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

Don't know if he intended to dis bushco - but it seems revealing per his sentiments towards the Iraq war.

4. Regardless of what anyone else says, making such public statements...
does no one any good. And that includes Americans who are in that region. I just hope this does not lead to bloody ant-american riots.

There'd be all kinds of talk of an investigation and they'd be a "terrorist"

8. Robertson is just another whacko who thinks because he has the ear
and backing of the bush** administration he can say any damn thing he wants to, regardless of how amazingly ignorant or damaging it is. Wait until Chavez call for some kind of punishment for the clown who enabled a bunch of rotten to the core greedy bastards to start a war over oil, and lied about the reasons. How many of the bushbots will be screaming about that?

I understand how damaging these people are to the country, I really do. But I very much resent the fact that everytime one of these fuckwits opens their mouths they make this entire country look like "Squeal like a pig" should be our national motto.

18. Oh they "hate our freedoms" alright!
That there has to be a poll on MS NBC or CNN to decide whether Robertson has gone too far demonstrates clearly how screwed up we can be. As my daughter's friends might say, he is like, so 'in bed' with the corporate interests! Anyone who agrees with the vilification of Mr. Chavez has come down on the side of businesses in the argument between the people and the corporate powers-that-be.

20. It's the End Times....It made Faux News...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,166478,00.html

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson (search) suggested on-air that American operatives assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (search) to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."

"We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability," Robertson said Monday on the Christian Broadcast Network's "The 700 Club."

"We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator," he continued. "It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

(snip)

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," Robertson said. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop."

I am thunderstruck. I don't know why this is making headlines when his prayers for the deaths of Supreme Court justices were completely ignored, but I'll take it. Shine the light on these cockroaches!!!

22. It's like watching a slow-mo...
.. train wreck.

As the Republicans and the fundies gain more and more power, they feel freer and freer to show their true colors.

As they show their true colors, more and more people are taken aback at how messed up they are.

Unfortunately, it was behind the story about ONJ's missing boy-toy on "The Early Show"....

Will Pat try to "explain" himself on today's Sieben Hundret Klubben?
