I stopped this DUer on the road today...check his stickers

I talked to him VERY briefly at the Cindy vigil last week, but didn't even notice the DU sticker til I got my pictures back

I saw him driving ahead of me today, and waved him over. he's a union plasterer....for over 20 years.

my dad and grandfather had a decent-sized plastering company for over 40 years, and I learned how to do it myself.....did it and other things like that for about 15, so we talked about that for a bit.

he's very tuned in to things, and is a DUer. he'll probly see this post, I hope.

I recognized the truck right away, and had to chase him down, sorta, for about two miles, but it was worth it

made my day!

I showed him my license plate cover, which I refuse to take off, even though my car isn't new anymore. he was most amused:

PS he's on his way to his union board meeting. we talked about the war on labor being waged by the fascists in power (agreement on the use of that specific term, too). we bonded as 'Union brothers' (NEA)

"Which side are you on, boys?
Which side are you on?"

1. Union, YES!
even though the NEA can suck hard

Come all you good workers
Good news to you I'll tell
Of how the good old union
Has come in here to dwell

Which side are you on boys?
Which side are you on?

My daddy was a miner
He's now in the air and sun
He'll be with you fellow workers
Until the battle's won

Which side are you on boys?
Which side are you on?

They say in Harlan County
There are no neutrals there
You'll either be a union man
Or a thug for J. H. Claire

Which side are you on boys?
Which side are you on?

Oh workers can you stand it?
Oh tell me how you can
Will you be a lousy scab
Or will you be a man?

Which side are you on boys?
Which side are you on?

Don't scab for the bosses
Don't listen to their lies
Poor folks ain't got a chance
Unless they organize

Which side are you on boys?
Which side are you on?

really put me in a good mood, for a change

specially after seeing Leslie Blitzer almost blame Chavez for Robertson's calling for his assassination

he put up a quote from Chavez from February, in which he said that if he were to be killed, you can be SURE that it was Pres. Dumbass' doing.

He then axed the ambassador from Venezuela if he didn't agree that THAT was the reason Robertson said what he said!!!!

if that's the case, why did it take SIX MONTHS for him to do so?

THEN, with utter disdain, he teased the next segment, saying, do we CARE what celebrities like Sean Penn have to say, WRT to Penn's trip to Iran.

EDIT: he was clearly more negatively charged by Penn's actions than by Robertson's words

13. Damn, and I need a plasterer, too!
I'd love to hire a union plasterer (and union bricklayer) for some repair that needs to be done in my home (water damage) but finding a plasterer around here is like trying to find a contented chicken in a fox den.

Anyway, go unions!

he served in Vietnam....behind 'enemy' lines, in circumstances very similar to Ollie North

doesn't like to talk about it, but came home totally against the war, and all subsequent fascist warmongers

he had a very cool license plate, but I'll wait for him, to see if he wants to say what it is

27. Truck with the stickers!
The truck is mine. I've added the stickers through the years with this idiot in office. Changed a few at times. A simple way to vent some of my outrage:mad: at this administration. Glad to meet a fellow DUer while driving. I do get alot of thumbs up:thumbsup: on the road. Should have a DU meetup in the Chicago area sometime.

As for blocking my view, thats what side mirrors are for!

I'd dearly love to see some signs like that around Kansas City. It'd make the place look downright civilized!
