My kid's gonna turn out alright.
Check out this assignment my 17 year old son just did for his american government class

Declaration of Independence from Conservative Administrations
When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a group of people to break away from a government that has grown sedentary in its forward development and upholding of rights and freedoms, both civil and political, and has had its forward progress of knowledge barred from continuation to a point of backward progress and even censorship, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The recent history of this conservative administration is a history of repression, loss of rights, and loss of privacy of the common man, all having a caused an effective tyranny over us. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world of this administration's contempt for common people.

<It = the current administration>

It has caused great grief and sadness with a war based on lies to the American people.

It has changed laws in such a way to cause a large decrease in taxes paid by the wealthy, but an extremely limited decrease in taxes paid by common men

It has attempted repeatedly to emplace changes to Social Security as to cause the policy to become much less effective, and take the power to control it out of the hands of the people.

It has passed laws, under the guise of national security, that allow our privacy to be infringed upon without a warrant of any kind or any knowledge on the part of the object of observation.

It has banned certain medical research and practices, claiming them to be unethical, that could help in the curing and prevention of many serious diseases

It has passed laws which decrease the coverage of medicinal payment assistance programs, making it much more costly for the elderly and retired to obtain medicines that they cannot afford, but may need in order for these people to live reasonably without certain pains or other problems that come with age and disability.

In every stage of these Grievances we have petitioned for redress in the most humble of terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by further injury. An administration, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrannical leadership, is unfit to be the leadership of a free people

As you can tell, it's heavily based on the Declaration of independence.... but that WAS the intent of the assignment.

I think he's going to be a democrat.
