Pat Robertson lies, continues to violate the ten commandments
Pat Robertson on the 700 Club today said ""I didn't say 'assassination.' I said our special forces should 'take him out.' And 'take him out' can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP , but that happens all the time."

He said "If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it" and he lies and blames the media?

He's just violating those ten commandments one by one. Bearing false witness, lying, and then murder.

Is not a commandment

Edit Here: Actually Lying is not a sin.

3. "Thou shalt Not Lie"
Technically true. But really, I'd argue that "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour" would include lying as well--easily.

but if someone lies and does not bare false witness they have not broken a commandment or committed a sin. Misrepresentation which is technically is NOT lying is still baring false witness so you do not have to lie to break the 9th Commandment.

5. "This is True"
I admit I'm having a bit of trouble discerning which side of the fence you fall on this topic--if any. But that's besides my point.

As I see it, Pat Robertson bore "false witness" against himself and lied to his audience. May he burn in that Hell he fears so much.

Typical right winger - never admit error or apologize - just try to spin your way out of it.

That's what he meant.
