Poll question: Do Shrub supporters not want to know or simply don't care? |
|
We have all seen it... shrub supporters twist and turn to continue to support Shrub and his war.
We aren't torturing people but if we were it's only bad people and it's the only way to keep us safe..and the torturers are only a few bad apples becuase Shreub would condone torture..which we have to do to be safe...
The iraqi people are thrilled we bombed their country and are staying long past saddam's overthrow. The Insurgents are all Al Queda who happen to come from other countries....
being antiwar means one hates the military..including the soldiers who have come out and opposed to the war.
Ect ect ect...
But I think I saw a glimmer of shrub's supporter's inner feelings in a statement by a woman at the counter demonstartion in Crawford. She said that since Shrub was a "man of faith" he couldn't have done the things ascribed to him.
So do Shrub supporters simply not care about what the Shrubbery is doing in thier names and are simply rationalizing?
Do they not want to know what is being done in thier names becuase it's too God Awaful to contemplate and so try to cover it up?
Are they somehow STILL uninformed even after all this time?
Or is it something else?

1. They want to help those people |
|
They believe in the goodness of America. They believe we can help the Iraqis, if the right policies are in place. They don't believe ANY American President would launch a war purely for oil or imperical politics.
Call it whatever you want, but those are the core values of the PEOPLE of the right wing of this country.

2. Misplaced pride and ego. |

Janeanne had it right. They REFUSE to admit the truth. Just like Bush, they WON'T admit they are wrong.

3. That "man of faith" is all the regular folks can cling to. Rich ones don't |
|
...give a damn, as he is giving them hella tax-cuts and corporate welfare.
If he does not wrap himself in the Cross and hide behind the Troops, what does Bush & Co. have to show for himself, in terms of average Americans?

4. I'm wondering if they're just sludge |
|
and I also wonder if we ought to deport THEM, when all's said and done.
Shall we target the Bush supporters later? Heck, they'll probably do it themselves anyway, feeding on each other in the massive blame game.
Yeah, they're a group. Their own demographic.
I think they need arm bands.

THEY DON'T CARE, and the ones who were in Crawford chanting "We don't care" spoke volumes. The Bush**bots around me aren't clueless they just don't care. Listen to them when they call in on cspan's Washington Journal - they don't care.
