Bush Rebuts Calls for U.S. to Pull Out of Iraq
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Filed at 3:02 p.m. ET

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) -- President Bush, rebutting critics who are calling for the U.S. to pull out of Iraq, pledged that as long as he is president ''we will stay, we will fight and we will win the war on terrorism.''

In a speech to members of the Idaho National Guard and their families, the second this week by the president in an effort to rebuild support for the war, Bush emphasized the sacrifices military families make. He noted that Idaho has the highest percentage of National Guard troops serving in Iraq.

''We'll complete our work in Afghanistan and Iran,'' Bush said. ''An immediate withdrawal of our troops in Iraq, or the broader Middle East, as some have called for, would only embolden the terrorists and create a staging ground to launch more attacks against America and free nations.''

''So long as I am president we will stay, we will fight and we will win the war on terrorism,'' he declared.

Either he thinks he's going to be the preznit for the next sixty years, or he's having another delusional "Bring it on" moment. Junior is mad as a hatter.

Guess it's time for the real America to bring it on and kick his ass out of our White House.

5. Like any of us are shocked over this statement
and this WILL be a campaign issue. We cannot impeach bush until we have some of (or all) of congress in our hands. We must work hard for 2006 if we're to get him out of office and end this fucking war!

7. What exactly is our work there.
Is it to thin out some of our choice citizens? Is it to thin out a lot of Iraqi citizens? How can this evil bast*rd sleep at night? If it is to take away our rights as citizens then I think they are about to succeed.

18. I don't think the people will believe them. I think an
outsider like Clark might stand a better chance. There is a general dissatisfaction with the government. Even someone like Gary Hart might be able to win. He's been out of government for a long time, and could ride the white knight role into the white house. Yes he has baggage, but if he handles it well it shouldn't be much of a burden.
