2. May your sons come home safe, Tammy, and you never know Cindy's pain...
Becasue God knows you'll be next on the smear list if you dare to speak out.

3. What has she lost? How is this comparable to what Cindy lost?
I really don't see how she can effectively communicate anything about Cindy's situation as she has absolutely no idea.

I hope she never does.

4. I read a news account
yesterday (didn't bookmark) where some redneck said he would SACRIFICE HIS WHOLE FAMILY for this bullshit. I mean. There is no way to combat that terraist. What an unspeakable thing to say.

7. He would? Then WTF is he still doing here? More people are
needed in Iraq.
Most of them are all words and no play.

13. Gary Qualls
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/08/20/politics/main789020.shtml
...
In Crawford, Gary Qualls, the father of a slain soldier, explained his reasons for supporting the pro-war camp. "If I have to sacrifice my whole family for the sake of our country and world, other countries that want freedom, I'll do that," said Qualls, who is friends with the local business owner who started the camp. He said his 16-year-old son now wants to enlist, and he supports that decision.

Qualls' frustration with the anti-war demonstrators erupted last week when he removed a cross bearing his son's name that was among hundreds the group had put up along the road to Bush's ranch.

Qualls called the protesters' views disrespectful to soldiers, and said he had to yank out two more crosses after protesters kept replacing them.

yeah git his chubby butt over there and dodge the suicide bombers.

I hate to say that. But I cannot believe the heartlessness of some people. Is it his FAMILY or HIMSELF. Goddess have mercy.

Edit: AND how! is that disrespectful? Like HE ISN'T? SHEESH!!! I just want to scream.

8. As monstrous as he is
I still find it stunning how many people will side with him. Parents with kids in harm's way, and those who have already lost loved ones. These people are so desparate to feel their sacrifice is worth something, they're supporting an EVIL regime, this must be what parents of Nazi soldiers were like.

Four sons! I hope they are not in the same unit.

If I was religious, I'd pray for her sons. Ms. Pruett will have to be satisfied with my thoughts and hopes that they all come home safely and unharmed.

15. bush** is despicable and he knows it.
He does this time and again, whenever one of his fucked up policies seems destined for failure. He drags out someone who honestly believes he has their best interests at heart and he uses them for, as you said, props. These poor souls never get the disconnect between what he says and what he actually does in the end.

17. This is interesting. Get her a camera crew!
Her patriotism should be documented. From national debute to the return of her Family. Be it in good health and good spirits or in flag covered boxes. If the unspeakable happens. I'm interested in her take on her own performance. Jumping up and down as if she had just won a SUV on The Bush is Right. I bid 4 sons George. Your the winner! Bring it on down. Your going to the showcase!

This is a typical Bush snapshot. Get America the rest of the picture.

18. Yes. Bush now trying to "Out-Mom" the anti-war
crowd with his own spokesmodel. How very Rovian. "Find me a mother with more sons!"
As if this was even the point. Mrs. Sheehan's son was a casualty of war. Her protest is that Bush has not been an honest commander in chief. Her reminder is that he is OUR country's president. OUR country. He answers to us. (only...he doesn't).
Sure there are parents of soldiers who support Bush. That isn't what these crowds of people are protesting.
They want Bush to be accountable. He has said (when Clinton was president) that the commander in chief must provide a clear, winnable strategy with a definitive exit plan.
He needs to stand in front of the American people (not his infommercial crowd) and answer our questions.
He works for us.
This is about his hiding. His dodging and weaving.
Bush getting his well funded new group of "Swiftboaters" out in front is just another shield.
Let's "smoke'em out!"
Maybe we'll have better luck than old macho George has had with Bin Laden.

I've been looking at the recent photos. He couldn't be over 5'8" can he? Not that there is anything wrong with short people. But. Does "Napoleon" ring a bell? Aggression to the max.

23. Tammy's family keeps the Bushes from having to serve.......
Doesn't Grandma Babs have some 17 grandchildren, none in uniform? I respect Tammy Pruitt, really I do and I admire her, but she has to be in some small part of her being questioning why her four sons are there and not one of Babs grandchildren. What noble cause?

I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago titled "Where is the pro-Bush, pro-War Cindy Sheehan?" that predicted exactly this tactic. But now I can't find it.

Here it is:

I didn't expect the smear campaign because I figured they knew it would backfire on them. I was wrong on that count. They really were that stupid.
