George W Bush is a coward. Discuss.
an article in today's (Aug 24) LA Times says Bush is on a stump to convince America that Cindy Sheehan does not speak for most Americans or military families: Bush says the military families "I speak to" have a different opinion than Sheehan.

The article does NOT mention that Bush only speaks to people who agree with him, that he then turns around and says "the people I speak to". He never meets with anyone who disagrees with him because he is a coward.

Is this the only evidence?

1. The man is a total paper tiger...
and you are so right, his worried handlers only let him talk (unscripted) to people friendly to his cause. He is in such a concrete cocoon, he has NO IDEA of how off base he is. And yep, I noticed his remark, "the people I speak to". Well, DUH!

3. They don't call him "Chicken George" for nothing
He ran from Viet Nam. He's running from Cindy Sheehan. He probably wets his pants every time he thinks about her. He's a disgrace.

10. Thanks
for the welcome. I just can't stand to even hear his VOICE, my husband can't reach for the mute button quick enough. What a total moron. And just how many families of the soldiers who have died over there has he met with? Any? Oh, 'scuse me, those photos of flag draped coffins are just my imagination playing tricks on me, right?

12. He's learning?
He hasn't learned anything. He is the most hated man in the world and should be really worried. Laura should be worried too just being in his company. I mean there are people out there who really hate him.

7. Take a look at his amen sessions
that are charitably called "town hall meetings". They're populated by the choir who are carefully-screened and anyone who'd ever written a letter to the editor of an obscure liberal rag is blacklisted. (As in the case of a Social Security town hall meeting in Fargo, ND this past winter, in which several dozen people got blacklisted.)

This is why Maureen Dowd calls this meat puppet "the boy in the bubble." He's insulated from reality and contrary opinions by an impenetrable wall of blubber, bullshit and sharktooth.

8. The coward from Crawford.
Haven't heard this mentioned. It was reported (I can't remember where I heard it) that this was the second time he met with one of the mothers that was supporting the war.
Thought little Shrub didn't meet with the mothers more than once.

9. Bush dodged risky duty in the Viet Nam war
Therefore, many would call him a coward for that.
