"Jesus Christ Super Star"
I have a video of the movie "Jesus Christ Super Star" and I watched it last night. I loved it as much as I did the first time I saw it. It's a beautiful film. And for anyone who thinks it contains any anti-semitism, it was filmed in Israel, and the Israeli army and air force helped out.

IMO, Jesus didn't intend to start a "religion." He was preaching love and tolerance. Had he foreseen a Pat Robertson, a James Dobson, or a Jerry Falwell, he might have skipped the whole thing and went back to the carpentry shop.

Full disclosure: I'm a devout agnostic. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful movie. Try to catch it.

3. One of the coolest movies ever--my friends and I knew
all of the words and sang it (sort of a protest)in high school in 70's. It gave this non-Christian an appreciation of Jesus. Both of my kids loved it early on.

5. I like the 2000 version even more.
And I'm agnostic too--I don't let it get in the way of a good story and a great theatrical production.

I saw the stage show with Sebastian Bach as JC...no comment.

6. Had he foreseen a Pat Robertson, etc...
The prophet Jesus (pbuh) did foresee them.

He warned them.

not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23

And he warned against them.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matthew 24:24

Peace
