Now THAT'S a judge!

IF YOU'VE EVERY WONDERED ABOUT THOSE ARMOURED CARS THAT SEEM TO PARK ANYWHERE ON THE STREET, TAKE HEART.
A PROVINCIAL TRAFFIC COURT JUDGE HAS BLASTED BRINK'S CANADA FOR NOT PAYING ITS PARKING TICKETS.

IN FINING BRINKS 19-THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR 99 UNPAID PARKING TICKETS IN THE CITY OF VANCOUVER, JUSTICE OF THE PEACE ZAHID MAKHDOOM WONDERS RHETORICALLY IF PUBLIC SAFETY IS ENSURED WHEN A VEHICLE OWNED BY THIS LARGE CORPORATION WITH VAST RESOURCES IS PARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF A LANE IN RUSH HOUR.
WHEN THE BRINKS LAWYER ASKS FOR A 50 PER-CENT DISCOUNT ON THE UNDISPUTED TICKETS, HE GETS A LECTURE ABOUT THE SEPARATION OF POWERS.....IT IS THE CITY OF VANCOUVER THAT CAN GIVE THE COMPANY AN EXEMPTION, NOT AN UNELECTED JUDGE.
AND THE JUDGE GOES ON..."In my respectful view, when a for-profit corporation knowingly breaks the law and then uses the judicial system to get away from it while clogging the court system it must be subjected to a reasonable penalty."

1. ..."In my respectful view, ..."
"... when a for-profit corporation knowingly breaks the law and then uses the judicial system to get away from it while clogging the court system it must be subjected to a reasonable penalty."

Well, he must be smeared and vilified now. Without corporations telling us what to do, we are nothing more than tree-dwelling crap-flingers.

With a name like Zahid Makhdoom, he must be a terraist, right? I mean, he's got "doom" right there in his name, for cripe's sake!
