Clark: If Bush won't adopt winning strategy, we should demand withdrawal
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 12:25 PM by StefanX
General Wesley Clark phrases the case for withdrawal the right way:

"If the administration won't adopt a winning strategy, then the American people will be justified in demanding that it bring our troops home."

Read the whole article here:
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/8/26/53325/3578

Clark isn't just saying "withdraw". Clark is saying "Bush needs to do X, Y, and Z to win - but he hasn't and he never will. Since can't or won't pursue a winning strategy, we're better off withdrawing."

As Armando at Kos says: "There you go General. Bush is losing Iraq and will lose Iraq and have to 'cut and run' unless he adopts our winning proposals (which he of course will never do)."

This is the right way to phrase the argument -- especially going into 2006 midterms.

1. General Clark should suggest that bush
recall General Shinseki from retirement. He was the only one who knew what the fuck he was talking about post 9/11 relative to war in Iraq. Of course since he knew what he was talking about bush and wolfowitz and rove and cheney fired him.

In other words, dumbass, shit or get off the pot.

3. There is no legitimate military objective.
Iraq is a law enforcement problem with two distinct components: (1) law, and (2) enforcement. 'Law' fails moral legitimacy when (1) not enacted and supported by an overwhelming majority of those who comply and (2) not applied to all persons. Since the foreign (mostly U.S.) military forces occupying Iraq are not subject to the 'rule of law' in Iraq, they are literally outlaws in a nation with a law enforcement disaster. Furthermore, they are military, not police -- and are a part of the problem, not part of a solution.

15. The only reason that we are losing...
is because Amurka hating liberals don't support the president.
