1. Somebody wake the general up. The war is lost, Wes.
There is no "victory" to be won. Our mighty military, bungling intelligence, and high-tech weaponry have been defeated by a people determined to run their own country without our "help".

So, be a good little ex-general and write your self-glorifying memoirs and take your seat on the board of Boeing, or Lockheed, or General Dynamics.

2. Smart words from Gen. Clark
"The growing chorus of voices demanding a pullout should seriously alarm the Bush administration, because President Bush and his team are repeating the failure of Vietnam: failing to craft a realistic and effective policy and instead simply demanding that the American people show resolve. Resolve isn't enough to mend a flawed approach -- or to save the lives of our troops. If the administration won't adopt a winning strategy, then the American people will be justified in demanding that it bring our troops home."

3. The problem is always the same here...
How do you define "winning"???
When do you declare that you have "won"???
What is the goal of the war in Iraq???
Where are the answers to these questions???

7. Wes had better get out of the rain.

His true colors are showing. And, Jesus, to ice the cake, he's still delusional about Vietnam.

I had toyed with the idea of supporting him in 2008, but that does it.

I have a litmus test for any candidate for President in 2008. If we're still at war then, I will only actively support an antiwar candidate.

I think I'm gonna get on the Russ Bus.
