SHAME On You & Your Offensive, Lazy-Ass Vacation George Bush >>>
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 06:16 PM by Stephanie

Last week he was incommunicado on his Waco Compound from Sunday to Sunday. On Monday he took a vacation from his vacation at an Idaho resort. He gave one speech Monday and one Wednesday. Other than that he has not appeared at all.

Except for this >

And this >

It's like he is rubbing our noses in it. This vacation is a big FU to working people, who don't get five weeks off, let alone the seven he has taken so far this year, who don't get to spend weeks on end riding bicycles, and boating, and fishing.

Bush himself described a typical day at his Crawford ranch to reporters recently, as reported by The New York Times: "I'm going to have lunch with Secretary of State Rice, talk a little business; Mrs. Bush, talk a little business ... take a little nap. I'm reading an Elmore Leonard book right now, knock off a little Elmore Leonard this afternoon; go fishing with my man, Barney; a light dinner and head to the ballgame. I get to bed about 9:30 p.m., wake up at 5 a.m. So it's a perfect day."

SHAME on you George Bush. This vacation is obscene.

1. Reading Elmore Leonard....
I thought we were all told he would be reading Salt: A World History, Alexander II: The Last Great Tsar and The Great Influenza. Now we find out he is reading Elmore Leonard, probably a western. Ah, the Great Intellectual!!

11. Starting with the "working vacation" lie -
Lunch with Condi? That's the "work" part?

13. He's still stuck on the first L in Elmore Leonard
Note he didn't say he was reading the BOOK. He's still trying to read the author's name.

5. The first startling quote we got from him in campaign 2000 was -
"Who cares what you think?" That quote embodies his whole attitude. "FU."

8. I think it's this "FU" attitude he radiates

that makes looking at him or listening to him so intolerable to so many people. His misplaced sense of superiority is beyond disgusting. I'm not a huge Bill Clinton fan (anymore) but it was Bill's making people feel he is right on their level, not above them, that was so charming - and so opposite to this arrogant creep *.

6. Like everything else he does.
The *In Your Face* (p)Resident. His disdain for working class, working poor Americans knows no bounds.

9. What about middle class, average Americans?
NOBODY gets seven weeks of vacation. And he'll probably take at least two more weeks at Thanksgiving & Christmas. It's so offensive.

16. 5 weeks off? I think it would be nice to be able to take 5 days off.
Self-employed serf here, working 6 days a week. My "day off" each week is spent catching up on errands. I don't have any servants. Imagine that.
