Black Helicopters and Boise Paranoia |
|
I posted a thread yesterday about helicopters buzzing our Boise Idaho apt complex and I and my wife were pretty freaked out. I want to say that my adrenaline was flowing then and I am laughing at myself now at how I had convinced myself an anti bush missive I posted on DU had put me on the dangerous and liberal hit list of the secret service while Bushie was in town. I don't think, on calmer reflection that my emails cause blackhawk helicopters to buzz the apartment. Someone mentioned the usual m.o. is to send someone in a 'CAR' to ask questions. Yes, that makes more sense. My wife was freaked out, i was not at home. I am sure the flights were low and disturbing but in the end, we sadly, are not X Files worthy. My message here is to sheepishly say 'I apologize for getting a little Abbot and Costello on you all. My second message is to say I sincerely believe you people are the best ever. You all really rock! i recieved very considerate replies that suggested possibilities and even the suggestions that maybe I was over reacting were supportive and helped me out a lot. This site is visited by people of so many different backgrounds and areas of specialty knowledge it is really amazing. I really really appreciate you all and hope you understand I don't always go off into the deep end like that. Just a weird thing and my wife was freaked and I just thought I needed to grab my spear and kill the tiger. (Always grab your spear first.) I do not expect the commander of the local air national guard where these choppers are kept to answer my email but if he does I will post it. Thank you, thank you thank you. I am all better now. :hi:

Better to attract the attention of fatherland security and the fibbies than say, Pat Robertson. Those other guys would most likely follow procedures and stuff while ole pat there would just be down for taking you out.

4. The problem isn't that we're too paranoid. |
|
It's that we're not paranoid enough.

|
Flew over our apartment complex (at an appropriate altitude by the way) around mid day today. As I mentioned we are very near the airport. I thought * left yesterday so I am not sure what that's all about. By the way, it's a green chopper with a white top and an American flag painted over the white field. Pretty damn exciting huh?

I have: Registered here Bought a Cat Stevens CD and two Michael Moore books from Amazon Hold a library card Went to the same college as Kofi Annan Marched for every kind of rights there are, since 1970
I figure the guy in the trailer house across the street is really not an 'unemployed and disabled' guy, but highly trained in the ways of espionage!!!
Sorry about your freak out though, and I hear you. Who isn't a bit freaked out every day here?

It was Macalester College, in St. Paul, MN (that's the capital of Minnesota for the FBI agent assigned to take notes on me...:freak: ) I think Annan's son went to college in Switzerland though. Macalester is the alma mater of Joan Mondale, Walter Mondale (went for two years), Mark Dayton, several Minnesota dems, and Hubert Humphrey taught classes there on public policy.
It was the school for, as my dad said, 'readin', writin', and protestin'!

Didn't know him, graduated 4 years later. And I'm a card-carrying ACLU member. See you in Gitmo...

Not to make you paranoid, but I've caught the mail lady writing on a pad every time she stops here. She doesn't do it at the other stops on our street. Do you suppose it has something to do with the Kerry/Edwards sign still in our front yard?

Boise does now have a democrat mayor, and our first state lesbian legislator is from the Boise north end. Other than Blaine County, the rest of the state is having fits.

My Republican parents failed to mention to their liberal daughter that Boise might be turning! LOL!
I always thought the North end had a lot of liberal minded individuals. It's also one of the best neighborhoods. Lots of character! I have fond memories of growing up there.
Keep up the good work! :toast:

I was hoping you would post news today. I cant blame you and your wife for being paranoid. I probably would have reacted the same. The way * and his administration is I'm sure there are a lot of us here that show up on a list some where.
It reminds me of he protests in the sixties when we were told to carry $25 bucks cash and no ID. They did not want you to carry ID, so when they retained all of us, your name would not be put on the FBI list. You just made up a name and paid the $25 fine to be released.

I don't do anything of interest in general. I'm not sure how they would have found me in all honesty.
