What if the RW could rewrite the Constitution? |
|
I assume they would come up with something like the Iraqi "constitution", with Christianity substituted for Islam.
Or would they just skip it entirely? They really don't seem to like it much, except for the Second Amendment.

3. The thought of neo-cons writing the Consitution is frightening to say |
|
the least.
It is not the 'religion' part that would get to me, as much as the notion that they would set up some kind of 'Royalty', and we would be little more than a subjugated people completely dependant upon the wealthy and the landowners for our subsistence. Schools would not exist in the public domain, there would be no medical care for anyone under a certain "class".....I could go on, but I am describing what they are doing now!

I don't think they would bother to rewrite it.

5. The list of exceptions to the "freedom of speech" clause alone |

would be longer than the Constitution we have now.

Is already substituted for Islam in our Constitution.
Every time someone is sworn into office or in a court of law they take the oath on the Bible.
