A theory: Why Bush won't meet with Cindy
Cindy shows up in Crawford 3 weeks ago, demanding to talk to Bush. He could of squashed this thing in it's early stages, but didn't. We now have a report of thousands of people showing in Crawford, for protests on both sides.

So here's my theory.... The little town of Crawford is booming right now. Business owners are cashing in, with this influx of visitors. This kind of spending is good for the economy. We have learned that Cindy and others are planning to travel to various states to continue the peace mission. Again, this will bring more visitors to different cities, which again will equate to more money being spent.

So I figured it out, * is using Cindy, to help the economy. Especially as some "experts" are predicting some trouble times in the near future.

What do you think?

:-)

1. Good point. Maybe she can stop the housing bubble. Get out of
those tents and into some rental homes.

2. It's good for the Crawford people, but I can't see Shrub doing
anything detrimental to himself to benefit others. I've never seen that from him. It's always "Me, me, me."

3. I don't think chimp is capable of that much thinking.
He's just a sniveling little coward.

4. No, Bush see war as a business deal
He see Iraq as a huge corporate success, he sees the deaths of civillians and our soldiers as collateral damage. He is not going
to do anything to slow down his trillion dollar war machine. Nice thought though, it would be true for someone like Carter.

6. Actually, if he did meet with Cindy...
then he would have almost 2000 people demanding that he also meet with them to explain why their sons died needlessly.

He is avoiding the possibility of that by ignoring Cindy.

7. I know. He's ignoring her, cause that's what he is good at doing.
Their strategy is to ignore, and hope things just go away... And they usually do. Doesn't seem to be the case this time.

Welcome to DU, btw!

P.S. My post was in jest...

8. His answer could not be just smoke, and it would be retold.
He would NOT have to answer thousands of mothers unless he makes smoke of the interview. Then the papers, TV news and the people would make him actually answer it, and see her until he answers it.

Maybe you're saying that Bush would not answer even if asked 10,000 times by 2,000 different mothers. Maybe.

He lacks a good answer and he's the responsible party. Trouble is, he's irresponsible as a person.

9. Amusing theory, but... LOL
Anything that goes well for the general population was NOT planned by el shrubito. He has the opposite of the Midas Touch; everything he touches turns to shit.

If average people stand to profit, it was definitely not in the plan. Maybe it is just more of that Instant Karma? Good for good, bad to bad?

Karma has been a very busy force of late. Just about everyone I talk to has mentioned seeing it in immediate action working on people who are dip-shits, hate mongers, greed thrivers, shallow enders, general bozos, and morans.

13. He doesn't think that many moves ahead.
It just so happened to be a boon for Crawford accidentally. Maybe the residents might be inspired to see reality. Bush in Crawford and his retainers, poor for business. Liberals and anti-war supporters in town, good for business. Hmmm? We were better off under Clinton, weren't we? Hmm?

14. 3,000 protesters @ $3.99 per breakfast + $8.99 per lunch and $15.99
...per dinner equals $86,910 per day plus press/MSM, lodging costs, souvenirs, gas, other shopping maybe, totals $175K to $290K per day. Extend that through September 10th when Bush leaves for Washington DC, so what another two weeks $2.45 million to $4.06 million bust to Crawford's economy which would leave about $490K to $800K in before tax profits to the community. Depending on how those monies are distributed among the population of Crawford TX, I doubt if it means a new Hummer in every driveway. In fact, based on Bushonomics and trickle down, 80% of those profits will go to 5% of the area residents leaving the other 20% to be fought over like dogs in the streets by the remaining 95% of Crawford's residents. Then of course the IRS will take their bite, reducing over all profits by an average of 33%. It's hard work keeping the money. Cash is easy to hide and many of Crawford's citizens may be tempted to not report a lot of that new revenue.
