Cindy Speaks to Roaring Crowd

Cindy Sheehan just spoke and said she'd finally figured out what the noble cause was. Bush, she said, wants to kill more American soldiers because he's already killed so many. That's the reason.

When Bush started this war, Cindy said, he said "You're with us or you're against us." "Well," Cindy said, "Mr. President, WE'RE AGAINST YOU!"

Cindy also spoke to the members of the media who have been smearing her and her family. "Smear away," she shouted, "because we're not going away!"

"How many more," Cindy asked, "have to die for lies? For giving those who have too much power more power?"

Cindy led a roaring crowd in a chant of: "NOT ONE MORE!"

"For every person here," Cindy said, "there are 1,000 more who want to end this war."

Military Families Speak Out and Joan Baez Sings

Leaders and members of Military Families Speak Out spoke out in Crawford today, and Joan Baez led the crowd (which is clearly well over 1,000, if not 2,000, just at Camp Casey 2) in "Amazing Grace." MFSO spoke in support of getting out of Iraq NOW - not months from now, but before another life is lost to a war started by chicken hawks.

6. NEED INFO TO DEFEND CINDY

I can't be in Crawford but am doing my best to talk it up with friends and co-workers and sometimes it isn't going over too good. I keep hearing about how she left her family when Casey was little. I am assuming this is bogus. I've never read this on any reputable site. Can anybody point me to a link where she or family has denied this? Or maybe she isn't dignifing it by even responding. Is this total freeper crap?

Best defense is a good offense. And I agree we need to emphasize her message and not her life. But it still ticks me off to hear that crap.



I've been discussing this in email w/ a cyber friend and he points to some link that makes the allegation but IT links to nothing. Just baseless allegation. Desperation.

at him. That must be this week's lie. Last week's was that Cindy was faking being a mother!! Tell him you look forward to the next fairy tale from the radical rightwing, pro-war, anti-peace movement!

They're good for a laugh, if nothing else. Oh, and tell him that must have come from Rush, who is denying he said that Cindy forged papers to prove Casey was her son. That was last week's lie. Only problem, we've got him on tape. They're losing it!! Best thing to do is laugh at them!
