Republicans really, really , really suck at governing...
You would think Americans would learn from history? Never, ever, ever, put the Republicans in charge of government. You would have thought we would have learned from the Great Depression. That was one of the few times Republicans had controlled all branches of government as they do today. They thought taxcuts for the wealthy was the magic formula even then. And look at what happened...Only an ogre would think Republicans policies had nothing to do with it.

And now, we are headed toward a similar disaster. Do not deceive yourself. Republicans make a great opposition Party. But they should never be in charge of government. They really, really suck. Anybody care to argue that?

3. How can you govern when you don't believe in government?
Nobody wants to pay for anything anymore (re: taxes), but they still think they are entitled to services. The legacy of Rush Limbaugh.

4. How does that quote go? And who said it?
"Republicans say government doesn't work, and than they get elected and prove it." Or something like that.

5. That's because governing isn't a priority with them,
stealing is and they do that very expertly.

6. Only if they really really really learn
from their mistakes and change their ways. But you are right. Before my state had our democratic governor our previous governor was a republican and left the state in a mess. Especially our health care system and now he's (our current governor) is taking crap for it and trying to fix it. *sigh* But my town had a republican mayor from 2001-2005 and he didn't do terribly bad. He was okay and I liked him pretty well. I admit I was very very close to voting for a republican guy in our last mayoral race but went with an indie Jimmy Carter type because he had more experience (since 1975).

8. A guy from Ohio says...
"Bingo!"

There is nothing wrong with Conservatives being a friendly impediment, but once they become the majority, they really begin to mess things up.

Ohio is becoming worse and worse, and I think it's because of the Ohio GOP.
