2. I have no knowledge of that. Could be a specific unit.

Where did you hear this? Some units do clamp down on leaves for upcoming deployments/exercises, training, etc. But I haven't heard the "whole" military leaves have been canceled/denied.

7. Iraq will be holding another election and the troop level

will be increasing because of it. Perhaps this is the reason for the cancellation of leaves.

I've read that the Chimp's sending over several thousand reinforcements, but that's not as drastic as the OP suggests. Something's fishy (and I don't mean here).

there is no constitution yet, and if one appears, it needs to be voted on

14. it's a rumor going around but there are military folks who say it hasn't

happened. Maybe some leaves have been cancelled in specific circumstances, but not all the military leaves have been cancelled as is apparently being claimed by some on the net.

16. Here is the reason it doesn't make sense

The administration would first have to either launch an attack themseleves on the U.S. and blame it on Iran, or know of a pending attack and turn their eyes. There are too many ways it could go wrong, both in the military and the government. Not everyone would join them on this.

In addition, we do NOT have the resources. If they thought bombing Iran would be the solution, they would be sadly mistaken. In fact, it would unite the Shiites in Iraq with Iran, which would put our troops in Iraq in extreme danger. It would also unite the Sunnis and the Shiites against us. Oil would go to at least 100 dollars a barrel, and the markets would tank.

As much as I dislike this administration, I do NOT believe this will happen.
