by DarkSyde Sat Aug 27th, 2005 at 14:54:06 PDT I wish I had better news to report. As of 10:00 PM EST Hurricane Katrina is tracking dead on into New Orleans. Expected to intensify to a Cat 4 storm and possibly higher, making landfall 1:00 PM Monday. THE EYE COULD BE ~40 NAUTICAL Mls IN DIAMETER AT LANDFALL. THERE ARE NO SHEARS OR UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES TO WEAKEN THIS STORM AT THIS TIME.
If you are in LA stay safe and if you are in NO get out and if you have room in your vehicle take someone who needs a ride out
