Why is Trent Lott discussing military strategy?
Like he would know anything other than the location of his pom-poms. :eyes:

2. Not sure, but whatever he said ticked Bush off!
They just had a good sound bite of Bush saying that Lott's comments don't reflect "the spirit of Americans"...blah blah blah.

6. Ahh. Darn.
I just turned it on and saw it. I was wondering what Lott said.

Thanks for the info.

4. Trent has, or had, a shitload of clout in military appropriations
When he was Leader, he felt that having his paws on the pursestrings gave him the right to be an Armchair General. He even forced the USN to take vessels they did not want or need, to prop up a shipyard in his home state. Old habits die hard...
