Don't forget that Bush left his ranch DURING A HOLIDAY |
|
to fly to Washington to "save" ONE brain dead woman...however, he won't cut his vacation short to fly to Washington to save the citizens of New Orleans.

6. Not to be glib but what could he do? |
|
How much help could he provide by going to New Orleans? He has no superpowers. Do you expect him to personally use his neo-con superpowers to stop the hurricane?
There are better trained officials managing the evacuation. Remember, the security arrangements for a presidential visit are so overwhelming that it would be a hindrance to the evacuation.

7. We don't want him to go to New Orleans, OBVIOUSLY, since it's |
|
being EVACUATED. Jesus. But if he had any sense of COMMON DECENCY he would INTERRUPT HIS VACATION and go back to DC to oversee the preparations.

let the pros at FEMA, Red Cross, etc...do their job. *, of course, will get the obligatory photo op, but please, don't burden the people of NO with having BushCo manage anything....

8. He could act Presidential? |
|
For starters? I know it's a stretch. But there is something INSANELY macabre about a President remaining on vacation while one of the worst natural disasters is about to occur. He needs to get his ass back to DC and at least pretend to be a President. What a disgusting fuckwad.

10. Maybe not be on vacation, period. |
|
If he can fly to DC to save a dead woman, he could at least fly there and watch it on TV. To continue his vacation is totally obscene.

11. You're right. The guy hasn't done a damn thing for the good of this |
|
country so far, why would he start now? Especially when it might mean cutting his vacation short and going back to help coordinate disaster aid. Or at least pretendint to do so.
I don't know about you but I frigging EXPECT the leader of my country to be at his post when disaster strikes. Not hiding in a bunker in Lincoln or on his pig farm in Crawford.
