Just an observation but the rail station that I use was packed with SUVs.
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 09:03 PM by JanMichael
Took a short in-state (NC) trip this weekend and what did I see when I returned tonight? A flippin' HUMMER :puke: in the parking area where riders park and several other gas guzzlers as well.

I've been using this station now for about a year for weekend trips and this is the first time that the majority of vehicles in the lot were those gas swilling big pieces of shit (Only one Hummer, the others were the standard Escalades and other wannabee Hummers).

Oh well, I suppose this was inevitable.

Anyway just an observation.

Tick tock...

2. Good for them.
Nothing like a chunk missing from their collective wallets to force them into smarter behavior. Whatever works. Next thing you know, some of them might even start riding bikes to work.

8. Resale?
They allready got their resale value in the form of a large tax deduction because the pig weighs more than 6000 lbs....

4. Seems those who can afford SUV's
can also afford to fuel them as well, while the rest of us penny pinch and, in turn, conserve.

9. But they were taking the train!
Apparently they weren't given a tax break on the shitty fuel economy?
