Good news. 300,000 MRE's and bottled water delivered to the
Superdome.
National Guard brought them.
That makes me feel somewhat better.

They said it is enough to last for 2 days at least.
They also have water.
That is very comforting because I was very worried about it.

32. They are god awful
Especially the chicken and rice ones but when it's the only food around for weeks, you'll gladly eat it.

28. I have had the pre-Gulf War I and Post Gulf War I MRE
and the Meals Rejected by Ethiopians is very true for the pre GW I BUT the Post GW I were very good. :)

medicines, diapers, formula, bedding, etc.
Nothing was to be furnished.

I saw earlier on the weather channel some footage and saw army clothing walking with people in the background so I assumed they got the help they needed. I'm glad to hear of that. I just wish there was a way to get them out though.

33. This is wonderful news!
I was whining about this on DU earlier...couldn't understand why they didn't have MRE's. I love to be proved wrong on things like this. Thank Goddess for the National Guard!
