WDSU announces levee pumps have failed in NO
There will be very serious flooding, as the worst of the water is yet to come. Send more prayers and light...:scared:

6. Born in Shreveport...but lived in New Orleans from age of 6 to 21.
And still have family there.

9. But , not there now I take it.
BTW I was born and raised in NO. Have many family members including Mom and Dad who still live there. Hopefully they will be able to return to their homes soon.

Still get to NO about 3 times a year.

10. Five+ inches of rain over a few hours causes major flooding...
but not lifethreatening. Dealing with flooding is a sport in NO.

but aren't there like 2,000 levees there? Did they really say something so general as that?

11. I think the pumps going down means..
.. that any flooding will just sit there. This all depends on what happens with the Lake Pontchartrain levies.

they expect the wind to come from the SE and push a surge over Pontchatrain's western levees and into NO.
