Raining inside Superdome now..
Roof has been compromised--people inside having to move away. Strange noises coming from roof, says reporter.

7. Keep praying
The building will stand of course, but the roof is the Achilles heel--they keep saying that that's why the SD was called a "refuge of last resort"!

4. Someone said that a condensation effect would make it rain inside
In another thread they said that with no AC it would create rainclouds inside.

10. The humidity in these storms
is unlike anything you've ever felt in your life.

Once the AC goes out and even with it on, everything starts to get moist.

Lot's of 'sick' houses after these storms.

12. Not to speak of
the extreme dip in barometric pressure which must create great disparities between indoor & outdoor air pressure, causing more condensation? Just speculating here...

13. Last time I was there
was the 1980 version of the Rolling Stones "last" world tour where they shot off fireworks at the end of the show... not roman candles, mind you, but blow-up-in-the-air fireworks.
92,000 people attended.
Yea, it is that big.

I'm just hoping it doesn't flood.
I can't remember how high up the floor of the dome is compared to the streets.

6. I've heard that too...
...the Superdome is capable of creating it's own weather. Under the right conditions, it can rain inside.

8. Let's hope and pray
that this is the case--or that the damage is only in isolated areas.
