So did Bush return to the White House last night?
Of course not.

By this afternoon millions of Americans are going to have their homes flooded and will have no power. It may take weeks to get the power back to people in many areas. Most people, Bush included, have no idea how much life after a hurricane sucks.

However, Bush is the President. He is our elected leader. It is his job to oversea and coordinate the response to this disaster.

Yet, where is he? Still on vacation? Can't be bothered to do more then a couple of short photo-ops? Terri Schiavo was important enough for Bush to fly back to DC in the middle of the night, but apparently Hurricane Katrina is not.

Once again Bush is AWOL. Once again Bush is guilty of dereliction of duty. Many lives are a stake right now because of his incompetence. If Bush is unable to perform the duties of his office then it is time for him to resign because America desperately needs a leader right now.

3. I thought of an interesting idea....
Put huge banners saying "Resign Bush, Impeach Bush Now" everywhere on nearly every business and send the message out there. Put it on every radio station, too....

Even if election fraud is still a problem, its time to force the pressure to become an overlasting movement. Boycott and protest everything, by putting out signs indicating Bush must resign or be impeached immediately. Putting them everywhere, and declare the entire election results null and void.

Such was common place during the Nixon eras....Its time for that to become common place again.

4. I think he intended to go golfing in Arizona today.
We'll see if he's really that tactless.

7. I think they announced his schedule yesterday
So they can make a big deal of canceling it today. They'll want to show everyone how concerned and compassionate he is.

It would be a good political move
Republicans are looking for a reason to rally behind Bush ... giving Camp Casey the choice to follow the hurricane fightin' prez to DC and the wake of the storm or stay in Crawford.

They could always go find DeLay though.

15. Probably a prop but
there could be a hole for wires that are attached to the other side of the part that goes to the floor.

But even a real phone is a prop to him.

Of course they will say he is following it all from Crawford, maybe he is. But a president (even a faux one like bush) should know how much appearances count. It MATTERS.

10. Worst. President. Ever.
He's AWOL again. No suprise there. I heard about, but didn't see his speech on Katrina and New Orleans and then went into his montra (sp?) about Iraq. I understand they immediately shut his shit off once he did that and the Governor of Louisiana then stated all chimpyboy cares about is his oil! Every day he does something that makes me think people will finally decide it is time for him to go. Here's hoping they will.

14. Not to nit pick but I seriously doubt very much that he is our elected
leader. Having said that, anyone who even thought that this narcissistic killer clown would leave the pig farm simply because a major natural disaster is about to hit on of the nation's most important cities hasn't been paying attention.

16. But that's the thing
He is a fake president with fake compassion who can't even fake intelligence. But he should fake being president better and get back to Washington, not because he cares and provides leadership but because he wants people to think he cares and provides leadership.
