Is anybody watching the ogre reporter on FOX reporting on Katrina? |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 09:20 AM by kentuck
He's standing in the middle of the hurricane, trying to stand up, debris blowing everywhere, and they keep asking him questions, as he's dodging pieces of roof, etc... He keeps saying Whoa! As the wind is about to blow him away. He said the hotel had closed the door on him and he was standing close to the wall for protection. They seemed to have total disregard for hs well-being and he did not seem to have the good sense to seek protection. This guy could get killed!

12. FOX has better hurricane coverage than CNN.... |
|
I'm looking for news and film. The FOX reporter is on the coast of Mississippi, which is stronger winds than those in the western wall of Baton Rouge. Not a FOX fan but looking for the best reports.

I agree with you, they do seem to have better film on this. When they start talking politics, I'm outta there.

He's INSANE! The studio said he'd been in Afghanistan so maybe this is kid's play for him? Seems devoid of healthy instinct. Mustn't have a nerve in his body!

"Hey Bob, see if you can run to the othr side of the parking lot and back without getting hit by something.
There he goes, folks. He's dodged a branch, and what used to be a gas station sign... he's Made IT! Now he's on the way back, and....OOOOHHH! Where did that roof come from?
OK, Sally, you're up next! (Will 100 mph winds tear off a bikini? We'll find out...)"

|
We have foxnews, cnn, and headline news. I cant connect to the foxnews stream because that server is maxed out. Cnn and headline news work just fine :)
Guess it shows what my coworkers watch!

14. Have to wonder if they pay him enough for the risk |
|
Or if he's bright enough to understand the risk. NO dude, debris won't hit you if you're on camera, not you
So stupid, as if they can't film indoors. That's our media, dumber than dirt, but more pretty and sterile.

16. The idiots in charge think it's good for ratings to |
|
have their reporters exposed to the elements. I know a guy who works for the local CBS affiliate in Los Angeles and he says that when the station is on "storm watch" the reporters are ordered to stand out in the rain and wind without umbrellas or raincoats. Have to look as soggy as possible.
A huge hurricane is something else though. They ought to have more sense.
