for a new Islamic Republic to flourish?

The overriding statement in that constitution is that Islam is the state religion, and it's laws overrule all other laws. That then disqualifies a very large part of the other articles of that constitution, and women, who were Equal under Saddam, are going to be thrown back into the middle ages.
