New Orleans needs to have a webcast music concert fundraiser! |
|
Imagine a Jazz Fest for the web, where New Orleans musicians (there are many) play for the World and the funds go to hurricane relief.
The concert could be somewhere outside of the city in a few weeks. If the performances could be done over the web with server technology to handle millions of viewers (hello Scott McNealy at Sun), it would be a great way for people to see great music and pitch in with some fundraising to help the city.
This could be done! And what a great way to feature the web joining forces for good...
I'm going to look into what I can...anyone else?

2. Write a check to the Red Cross |
|
Then visit New Orleans when it gets cleaned up.

3. I'll be there before it gets cleaned up |
|
I used to live there and have friends who I know will need help getting their homes back to being liveable.
As for the Red Cross, I'm not so sure. I'd rather give to an organization that's directly involved with the city...
