When the MSM talks about how the hurricane will effect gas prices... |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 01:05 AM by Stephist
I feel a little uneasy. Maybe it's just me but somehow I just don't think the fact that gas going up in price when it is already overpriced should be much of an issue at this point in time. I understand why the media brings it up but I just can't help feeling that when thousands of people are with out their homes and loved ones tonight and millions more were effected... $2.75, or more, a gallon as steep as it is, just doesn't feel like it belongs in the same conversation.
Maybe i'm wrong.:-(

1. Here in L.A. they're blaming gas station operators for gouging, not |
|
the oil companies themselves.
Pisses me off:mad:

3. Most gas stations make less then a dime in gross profits on gas..... |
|
There may be some gouging here and there, but the real problem is the oil men, like Cheney, that you never see making dirty deals in the corporate offices of Big Oil, not the schmuck running a little gas station.
