5. Heard some big wig comment on this. |
I think it was toward the end of Keith Oberman((sp?)'s show or next one. Actually onloy read it on closed caption, cause i was in a bar. Some big wig (head of US National Guard?) was asked how many personel he had available for duty in the disaster area. He answered something like "Well, we have 75,000 in Iraq, and several fighting fires in the US . . . They cut away from him pretty quick. Maybe someone can find the clip. It was quite interesting.

6. The rw response to Clinton is always the same |
However, for me, if he had sent them for an invalid reason I would be down on him. Conversely, if Bush had sent them for a valid reason I would not criticize. As it stands, the Guard is overseas unnecessarily, and for that Bush deserves condemnation.

9. Would Clinton have sent them overseas? |
I thought that's why we had an army, marines, a navy and an air force. Isn't the national guard supposed to keep order at home in times of unrest and disasters?
