Amazing our first "American refugee" |
|
My American wife had the pleasure to discover when restarting her French classes... a fellow American citizen. The guy is a veteran in his upper sixties and lost his veteran pension for whatever reason (he is a former interceptor pilot)... so he decided to move to France because he can't stand the regime in his homeland... he is living now on his savings...
So we gonna help him with social security here, medical care, he doesn't speak French, so he needs help with the filling of the forms... He has a place to stay, but needs to find a better flat...
and he won't be alone at Xmas and Thanksgivings...

I'm looking at France among numerous others, but can't start anything with the consulates until I work out things with my significant other.

2. Thank you to you and your wife. |

The way this country 'honors' it's veterans is a shame. I'm glad he found new friends such as yourself and your wife to help him get settled.
