Nigel Griffiths wants to ban Pat Robertson from the UK
A GOVERNMENT minister has fueled the row over Britain's proposed new anti-terror laws by calling for Pat Robertson, the controversial American evangelist, to be banned from the UK. Nigel Griffiths, the deputy leader of the House of Commons, said Mr Robertson should be barred from Britain for inciting "hate and murder".

Mr Robertson has been at the centre of a storm in the United States after he called on Washington to assassinate Hugo Chavez, the left-wing president of Venezuela.

Tony Blair's proposed anti-terror laws are designed to prevent some Islamic preachers who back suicide bombers and terrorism from coming to Britain.

The laws would give the government the ability to refuse entry to anyone found to have incited terrorism.

They say the United States would probably not support this...

NONSENSE!

I'm an American and I think it would be a good start if Pat Robertson was put under house arrest for the rest of his life.

1. And according to Air America this morning...
Hugo Chavez may demand that the U.S. extradite Robertson to Venezuela to face charges.

I'm sure we'll get right on that :eyes:

2. LOL
I'm sure Bush is doing that as we speak. Heh heh. Oh yeah. I think it's a good idea. No matter who it is, whether Pat Robertson or someone who is a democrat, that type of speech is horrible.

3. I would love it if other countries started taking a stand against us.
We need it. We need to seriously consider what we are doing to the world before someone finally decides to nuke us. It's only a matter of time.

4. Pat caused that storm to hit the US I believe.
God don't like people who incite "hate and murder. Pat has brought the wrath of God down upon us! He's an abomination! Pat was using God's name as a tool, to sell his selfish point of view, on that TV show, the day he made that insane statement. And I really believe that Pat is now the cause of our problems from here on out. God now thinks America needs punished, because our preachers, have turned to worshiping cash money and power.

5. It's all about equality
I'm no fan of the proposed new laws - but if we're going to ban Islamic clerics because they support terrorism, then we have to ban 'Christian' ones too.
