18. I wish I could hear that...
I'm really curious how someone with a conservative mindset explains what it took for them to understand something that we all understood months before the invasion even happened. In Tucker's case, I can't believe it's actual stupidity in play, because he seems "smart" enough. So what is it? Can ideology really blind people to that extent? Party loyalty? What?

35. Doesn't seem that "smart" to me
and he's intellectually lazy as well; doesn't seem to want to employ the critical thinking skills he does possess. To me, he's always come across as someone who likes to play at being clever but whose knowledge of any given subject is actually pretty superficial.

36. For Tucker it's always been party loyalty. He's not antigay, it's doubtful
that he's even antichoice, and he didn't like Bush during the GOP primaries.

He was never a fan of the war but he promoted the war out of his partisanship.

He didn't even bother to vote last election because he thought it was all over for Bush, anyway, so he wasn't going to go out of his way to vote for him.

I bet other GOPers felt like that, too, and it makes me all the more certain that BushInc PADDED their vote totals and switched Kerry votes to Bush in the programming of the machines.

Baby steps. Maybe Rachel is getting to him. He should see the statements from Tim Goodrich and Hart Vigel about bombing Iraq pre-war with the British troops. Maybe by the end of the year he'll be totally against Bush.

38. Not really.
Liberitarianism is a radical political philosophy that should be repudiated by true conservatives.

To make them the same philosophy one has to oversimplify both down to a useless generalization like "small government"

And he makes some good points about patriotism and the PERCEPTION (not the reality) of the left. Rachel points out the right's jingoism.

41. He made me angry so I turned him off. A grieving mother is not crazy,
and if he listened to other people (he says he doesn't care what other people think) perhaps he wouldn't have to admit to being wrong. What he fails to address, is that the We the People has been taken out of the Government. That's the problem. Not some partyline bullshit. I don't walk the partyline and yet Tucker says I do....Good that he knows me better than I know myself.

45. Tucker isn't a real conservative/RWer, he just plays one on TV.
He's a total sell out. I get the feeling he doesn't believe 5% of the spin he parrots. He's woefully uninformed - I assume he avoids info because he knows that his RW act would fall apart. He elects to regurgitate the RW talking points to support his sell out.

Someday, he'll fess up to being a closet liberal, but only after all of his TV shows and newspaper columns have been canceld by the RW.
