In one week, residents only will be allowed (with proper id) to return and pickup essentials only, then asked to leave and not return for a month.... omg....

2. CNN reports U.S. military planning command structure for disasters
This was in the works before this disaster. Some people may welcome this, but I remember that the military is developing a number of weapons for crowd control, including a microwave device as a kind of "heat ray" to use on masses of people.

Martial law only gives military units a chance to "practice" for the day that the nations armed forces are called in to prop up a dictatorship.

4. Alarming...
I have a feeling the country will still be reeling from this 2-3 years from now.... This seems much worse than any hurricane situation in recent history, imo... Purely a result of New Orleans geography... This flooding won't subside for quite some time. They have to pump it, and the pumps won't work, nor do they enough capacity....

3. damn!
I've never heard of anything like that before...a month??? Where are these people supposed to go? My heart really does ache for these people. If I had the means, I'd leave tomorrow and volunteer for the Red Cross
